About the book
Our later years offer many opportunities for personal growth and renewal, but can also be a time of difficult changes and challenges. In Mindcrafting: How to Mentor Your Ageing Mind, Dr Declan Lyons draws upon the Human Givens set of organising ideas to explore the physical and emotional needs of older people and highlight the unique resources they possess to meet these needs.
In a warm and accessible way, the author dispels the negative stereotypes around ageing and demystifies professional services available to help older people continue to live full and rewarding lives. Whether you are looking ahead or already in older age, this book will open your eyes to the abundant gifts of later life.
