A celebration of World Tapas Day at Taste of Dublin

The Spanish Tourism Office and Saborea España partnered up once again to participate in Taste of Dublin 2024 with their feature stand named Tasting Spain.

Dublin´s legendary culinary festival took place from Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th June in its new location, the historic Merrion Square. with more than 34,000 visitors attending the iconic food and cultural four-day event.

Tasting Spain is a unique Spanish gastronomic experience where visitors will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of high-quality products from Spain, ranging from winesto olive oils, cheeses, and high-quality tapas.

Guests had the opportunity to discover different Spanish regions exhibiting within the stand thanks to their fantastic chefs and experts delighted them with special masterclasses and wine tastings within the space.

Visitors learnt about the incredible gastronomic and tourist experiences that you could enjoy on your next trip to Spain directly from our partner destinations. We are delighted to partner this year with Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Cambrils.

The restaurant space was a collaboration between La Ribera, a top Spanish catering company led by Dublin-based chef Jorge Hernández, and guest chefs; Tasting Spain were delighted to present a restaurant that sold different signature dishes on each session of Taste of Dublin, representing each of our partner destinations in the festival.

Festival attendees had the the chance to immerse themselves in a diverse range of high- quality signature dishes, while enjoying the most traditional tapas that we all love from Spain within our menu.

The feature also included a shopping area, managed this year by Dublin’s newest Spanish shop MercaOlé, where visitors were able to purchase gourmet products in exhibition and take home the tastiest memories of the event.

A special deserved mention was the celebration of the famous World Tapas Day. On Thursday 13^thof June, an exclusive presentation of Tapas took place at the M&S Food Chef’s Kitchen where several Spanish chefs will show-cooking their award winning tapa in a journey that took you all across Spain.
