    Dance Classes for 50+

Dance has been proven to be really good for your mental health never mind fitness and agility.

CoisCeim dance company are continuing their Broadreach programme for older people with their series of dance classes.  You can find out all the details HERE.

They are currently offering Drop-in Classes in Dublin – more to follow in the autumn.

    Drop-in Dance Classes – Dublin

An enjoyable and relaxing way to stay in shape, each class combines easy stretch exercises and dance sequences which help to maintain flexibility, strength, balance and coordination. Bring a partner or come alone and have fun dancing to music of all styles. No experience necessary – everyone welcome. Each class lasts for up to 1 ½ hours including break.

No booking – no registration – just drop-in and dance!

The Wednesday dance classes for people aged 50+ began at St Teresa’s Church in 2007. Initially set up to run for three 8 week terms annually, the classes, due to their popularity now run all year round. Our new location at The Carmelite Community Centre – 56 Aungier Street offers a calm and light-filled space in which to dance. Strange though it may seem the sun always shines on a Wednesday afternoon between 2 to 3.30pm (yes it’s true we’ve counted the times!), but then perhaps that’s because we all have a sunnier outlook after dancing!

    Wednesdays  |  2.00 -3.30pm  |   Led by Philippa Donnellan

    Term 1 | 2 September  – 22 October 2015
    Term 2 | 4 November – 16 December 2015
    Term 3  | 13 January – 9 March  2016
    Term 4 | 23 March  – 11 May 2016
    Term 5 | 1 June  – 20 July 2016
