In this podcast Conor Faughnan chats with Teresa Mannion RTÉ News and Current Affairs reporter & Mark Prentice of The Copeland Distillery

In part one Conor meets Teresa Mannion, one of Irelands favorite journalists and broadcasters who has worked as a as a news reporter since 2000 and is currently the RTÉ News and Current Affairs reporter based in the West of Ireland since 2007.

Teresa chats to Conor about Cars and how she shot to fame in December 2015 with her live reporting from Galway during Storm Desmond which went on to go viral online.

Teresa tells us how she went on to become an ambassador for the RSA to encourage the public in advertising campaigns not to make unnecessary journeys in bad weather.
Her subsequent rise in fame led to her becoming a contestant on the first Irish series of Dancing with the Stars.

In Part 2 Conor Chats with Mark Prentice who set a Distillery called The Copeland Distillery. They chat about Brexit and how Copeland Distillery had sought Crowd funding from the local communities and how they have turned a college project setup in a kitchen into a million pound enterprise in less than 5 years.

The Copeland Distillery story started in the summer of 2016, when they successfully raised £30,000 from crowdfunding. Their journey could not have started without the support of over 390 Founders who pledged between £50 and £500, taking a chance on the new ginfusions products based solely on their brand values and story. The belief from the public in what they were planning to create was instrumental in getting their products to market and for that they are eternally grateful.

The Copeland Distillery, situated on Ireland’s East Coast, is a craft producer of a range of Irish Gin, Rum, Single Malt and Pot Still Whiskey.
