Redmonds of Roscrea – your photographer for every generation

    Experience through generations:

Brian Redmond followed in his Father Terry’s footsteps in becoming a photographer. Terry was a celebrated photographer from the 50’s to early 70’s based in Portlaoise and his name is synonymous with wedding and family portraiture throughout the midlands and beyond

Brian says, “Both myself and my wife Theresa have proudly carried the Redmond name in photography since establishing our Roscrea studio in 1976. In recent years, our daughter Aoife has joined the studio, beginning the third generation of Redmond photographers. It’s exciting to see our family business grow and thrive over so many years.”

Redmonds have seen many changes in photography trends over the nearly 50 years they have been in business. However, the one thing that never changes is creating classic portraits of family moments that can be passed on from generation to generation. They consider their work heirlooms because a Redmonds portrait is forever.

    Legacy:
The Redmond studio has been lucky enough to see generations of families come through their Roscrea studio doors to this day. From wedding couples in the early days of the business to bringing their newborns to the studio for their first shoot and every milestone thereafter – communion, confirmation, graduation and engagements, birthdays, anniversaries – to the time when those children bring their own newborns to the studio. and so, the next generation begins their tradition with Redmonds.

    Gather the Clan:
Brian, Theresa and Aoife have also seen how important capturing family moments can be as time passes by. It can be so difficult to gather the extended family together to celebrate a milestone birthday or anniversary or even “just because”. But they’ve yet to meet a client that regretted their effort when they see the results achieved for them. “Bringing the generations together, visiting the studio, having a great time during their shoot and then perhaps going for a bite to eat afterwards – lots of our clients really make a day of it! We count ourselves lucky to even be a part of those family occasions.”, Theresa says.

    Client experience:
From the moment a shoot with Redmonds is booked, to when the clients collect their portraits, their aim is to make the client experience as welcoming and fun as possible – where both memories are made on the day and family portraits are created that last a lifetime.

Redmonds pour hours into getting to know each and every client, what their priorities are for their shoot and what their personal style and aesthetic is. Because of this dedicated time spent with each client, Redmonds can create heirloom portraits that fit seamlessly into their clients home and every generation’s home thereafter.

“Valuing our client’s time and experience is non-negotiable for us. Whether they have been coming to us for years or new clients who have started their own photographic tradition at Redmonds, our passion is capturing memories for each and every person past, present and future.”, Aoife says.
