Walking weekends in Kerry this Autumn

Explore the beauty of Kerry’s landscape this August or October on one of our walking weekends. In a year like no other we have the perfect fix of a safe place to explore our beautiful scenery combined with a gorgeous weekend break at the four star, Rose Hotel. From our inaugural walking weekend in 2019 we have listened to our customer’s feedback and added an extra date to our walking calendar this year, Mount Brandon on 28th August and back by popular demand in October is the Loch a Duin Valley. Our packages include two night’s bed & breakfast, dinner on one evening, a guided walk, packed lunch, transport and of course our famous hospitality! So really all you have to do is select which walk meets your exploration needs, book and arrive, from there we will take care of the rest.

Mount Brandon Walk, 27th & 28th August, is aimed at an experienced walker, our summit is Ireland’s 9th highest mountain and if it’s not on your bucket list then why not add it to your list this summer? Enjoy the wide open space and stunning scenery. This beautiful and challenging Mount Brandon walk offers a dramatic ascent up through the glaciated valley with its series of paternoster lakes and the sheer valley walls. This strenuous walk is aimed at the more experienced walker.

Loch a Duin Valley walk, 1st & 2nd October, is classed as a moderate level walk and lasts for 4.5 hours approx. Our guide, John Edwards, from Wild Water Adventures will ensure you see the best of our beautiful landscape and enjoy an exhilarting walk. This is a stunning walk into Loch a Duin Valley in the shadow of the Conor Pass. This walk is an archaeologist treasure trove. With wedge tombs, stone art, a fort, ancient stone walls, standing stones to name a few. This is a circular walk around a lake in the valley, crossing a waterfall.

    August Walking Weekend: Mount Brandon

October Walking Weekend: Loch a Duin Valley
