Phyllis Foley led a very busy and active life before retiring, and while she ran her own businesses, she was always involved in voluntary work. When it came to her own retirement, it was no surprise that she chose to form an active retirement group that would benefit the whole community as well as finding the right niche for herself moving forward. Her experiences and expertise have helped to build YARA into one of the most vibrant and successful groups in the country. Together with Frank Down, they now have over 260 members in the group which has survived the Covid lockdown and continues to grow from strength to strength
